I have used House Master twice in 2 months and had an excellent experience each time. I used House Master to inspect a house I was going to purchase and was very impressed. Our inspector was Ian and he was prompt, courteous, professional and knowledgeable. He was extremely thorough and didn't miss a thing. I asked him a lot of questions, all of which he answered patiently and he even gave me tips about how to fix some cosmetic items that weren't a part of the inspection. As promised, I received the inspection report later that evening and when I left a voice mail message asking a question -- which was well after business hours -- I got a call back that night. Although that deal ultimately fell through. I was so impressed with House Master that I used them again a month later when I

Not only have my clients found House Masters, Joe and Ingrid to be top notch when inspecting their homes, and therefore are on my "tried, true and tested" list of recommendations, but recently I had the pleasure of Joe inspecting a home for my parents. He was fantastic and pointed out items that would need to be addressed immediately and others that we could budget for in the future. Best of all Joe makes suggestions, without be overly dramatic which allows you to process the information and make practical and informed decisions. Personable, trustworthy and knowledgeable. Sincerely, Marianne Malerba

WORTH EVERY PENNY TO USE THIS Company!! Our inspector was Joe Leporati. He was fantastic. He found a lot of things wrong with the house we were purchasing. He found things my husband didn't pick up on - my husband is an electrician. He was patient, and encouraged us to follow him and stay involved. He answered all of my questions. He was incredibly knowledgeable, and made sure we had a clear understanding of all the issues. This house had been inspected just prior to us making an offer, and he found things the other inspector never found. He saved us a lot of money and headaches. They were also about $50.00 less expensive than the other companies I called. Definitely will recommend this company to anyone who needs a quality home inspection!!!

Absolutely the WORST. They not only charged more than the going rate but the report was insufficient and not timely. We literally received our report via email two hours before the deadline to have any issues resolved or discussed with the seller. We had a MAJOR problem with the water (I paid extra for a water test if memory serves) and all we got was "we recommend you consult a water specialist" even though the PH was way out of line. Well, I didn't have time to "consult a water specialist" because I was at work and my husband was in a meeting. Turns out that the water problem cost me nearly $2,000 to fix and requires annual maintenance of another few hundred dollars. We got the name HOUSE MASTER from our realtor who was very unhappy when I complained. I believe the realtor and hou

Overall, this company is projected to cost me >$6K worth of repairs and replacement for my failed boiler. I bought my house approximately eight months ago. In that time, we found that our dishwasher and kitchen sink both leak, we experienced severe electrical problems that required remediation by an electrician, and that the columns on our front porch have dry rotted and require replacement. The cherry on top is our boiler. We experienced leakage from one of the components and called a boiler tech to figure out the problem. His investigation found that someone had "done a half ass job that any inspector with eyes should have seen." This "fix" caused the internal components of the boiler to rust, and now the entire boiler is required to be replaced. Additionally, the boiler is placed too
