Philip and his team built us an amazing deck behind our house! He helped us come up with a plan and a budget that worked for us, and had great insights for how to make it work in our space. As we have a dog-sitting side business, he did extra work to fence in the below-deck area to keep the dogs out, including nice swing-out doors, and installed a dog gate up top. Unlike a lot of contractors, he communicated well and stuck exactly to the budget we had worked out. Highly recommend to anyone!

On a Next-Door recommendation, I called Ideal Decks. Philip was quick to respond to calls & texts throughout the process. A couple of unforeseen problems were immediately remedied with one phone call. Philip is passionate about his work and has a great eye for design. I can't stress that enough! Meticulous in building!! He and his crew appear to really enjoy what they are doing. I originally wanted a steel cable railing, but upon completion of the deck, I liked the clean look without a railing. The railing was special order and would have cost a hefty restocking fee. Philip bought the railing (from me) to use on future projects. Really!?! I'm so happy with my new deck. Philip and the crew of Ideal Decks removed our old redwood deck and built a lovely composite deck. The craftsmanship is excellent - the deck is absolutely level, the joints are tight, and the mitered corners match exactly. I have recommended Ideal Decks to several friends and several of my clients (I'm a landscape designer) and will continue to do so.

Ideal Decks did an outstanding job replacing our old and rotting balcony. When Philip came to our home to provide an estimate, I was impressed with his “big picture” skills.
