Ingot Parking Garage

Ingot Parking Garage is conveniently within walking distance of many businesses on the South Side. My husband and I sometimes park our vehicle here, and we easily find available spaces. We use our cell phone to pay, and the prices are OK. We have experienced no problems with the elevators, safety, or anything else.

Same experience as other folks: I was charged $15 to park for 3.5 hours on a Saturday. It was a $1 service fee plus almost $4 in taxes plus over $10 for the parking. Will never park here again.

Way over-priced. You get two hours at a reasonable price, then the price skyrockets. If you meet friends for dinner you will almost always go over the two hours.

i’m curious if anyone else has had their credit card info stolen soon after using this garage. i acknowledge that i don’t know definitively that this was the case here, but i do highly suspect it.

I have parked in this garage over the last 20 years multiple times, and have never had any problems, and have paid reasonable fees. The last charge I had was about $5. On Sunday, I pulled into this garage without noting any rate signs or payment methods, i wasn't looking for them. The gate went up and admitted me without giving me a ticket. Because it was Sunday afternoon, I figured it was free. That was a stupid assumption. I drove out of the garage and the gate opened again, and let me out, without any sort of old-school payment indications. On Tuesday, I got a text from Metropolis parking saying I needed to update my payment method. i dismissed that text as a scam as I never saw anything about Metropolis in the last couple days.
