James is a master craftsman. From design to building our hickory cabinets to install they’re the nicest cabinets we’ve ever seen and will last multiple lifetimes. Price was amazing as well. Cannot recommend him highly enough!

James was a pleasure to work with. I provided him with an idea and some critical dimensions of the pieces I needed and he finished everything within a few weeks. He made me 2 end-tables, an ottoman that converts into a stool with wheels underneath, and a custom record player stand. All items were made from walnut and turned out beautifully. The turn around time was great and his pricing was very fair. Highly recommended for anyone looking for custom woodwork.

We needed a bed in our playroom for when guests came to visit, but we didn't want a huge bed taking up space. James Powell Woodworking provided a wonderful experience in making a queen size Murphy bed for our space. He custom matched our trim and wood stain to match the rest of our basement. He also made drawers that can also function as a nightstand. The end product is top-notch and amazing quality. I look forward to using this with guests for years to come.
