JEM Appliance Repair Service

I bought a Speed Queen Washer and Dryer in 2021. It comes with a five year warranty that includes free labor and parts. These machines are supposed to be known to last 20 years. Well, after only one year I had my first issue. When l called for service, it was then I was informed I had to use someone they contracted with, pay them, send the receipt to Speed Queen for reimbursement. The issue was with the softener dispenser. I just figured a way around it. However, in March of 2025, my machine started sounding like s huge metal chain was in it and then it simply stopped filled with water! One more time I called customer service. They referred me to a company. That company came out, diagnosed it, and said they needed to order a new circuit board. Then after a week, I called a

4 trips and didn’t fix original issue. Technician seemed to brush off issue from the start. When I called to ask about lid lock issue, they said they would call back and never did (2x). Eventually, they told me to buy a new washing machine. Im not sure if the technician did anything the last 2 visits

We used JEM as part of a HomeGuard Home Warranty claim for a malfunctioning dishwasher that wouldn't clean, and a refrigerator with a crisper drawer than was not preserving food and was constantly above the set temperature. The first technician came out when only my wife was home. He mansplained to her that everything was working as expected. I made them send out a different technician the next time, when I was home. I showed him that the plastic parts in the dishwasher had disintegrated, and he quickly found a non-functioning blower in the refrigerator behind the crisper drawer. He said he would order parts. A week later I called JEM to follow up since I had heard nothing. They said they were waiting on authorization from HomeGuard. Fine, but why didn't you call me to let me know? (This

Great service from Jose!! Showed up on time and was efficient with his work. I really appreciated his kindness, he was quick in getting my refrigerator fixed so my food wouldn't spoil!! Definitely going to be calling on him again!

Jem sent someone to replace the gasket on my dryer. He left a bunch of screws and pins in the machine. Then the gasket started to come apart after 6 months. They would not come and look at it without charging me full price. They suggested I was using the machine improperly. I won't go back to them.
