JMA Tree Service

We utlilized JMA last year and the job was never finished. It took over 6 weeks to have 5 trees removed, never would arrive when scheduled, when he did arrive, severals hours late while it was nearly dark outside, and would only work for about 20-30 minutes. At one point, his father arrived at our door to apologize and attempt to complete the work for him, but he was unable to complete, too. No communication, failed to complete the job, and left a mess. This is the second review I have posted, for some reason my first review was removed.

Everything about my experience was phenomenal! We received a free consultation, they came out 2 days later, and got the job finished that day. Hard working, well mannered guys. My wife and I were very pleased and will be referring everyone who needs tree services

Thank you for your response, Jacob. I will remind you that your work was to be completed in 2 days and after 6 weeks the work was not completed. After several no shows, excuses that equipment was broken, and that you did not have the funds to repair or rent additional equipment, we agreed that you would not be able to complete the job in a timely manner for the pool builders to begin work. In fact, you needed to establish a payment plan with us to refund the money for work that was not completed after we threatened small claims court. We were kind and reduced the rate for you, as you promised to remove a dead cedar in our front yard, that to this day still remains.

Today is 3 weeks since the job was supposed to be done. We still have a tree up that is leaning against our house. They came out and cut a few small branches off and have yet to return to do the rest. There is zero communication unless we reach out first and usually it takes hours to hear anything back. He will state he will be out on this day and the day comes and he doesn’t show up or call to let us know what is going on. If there was clear communication a lot of this could be forgiven. However, Now all of a sudden the phone number is disconnected. Very disappointing. We put good faith in someone and provided half the cost up front (our fault) and now we are out $350 and still have the problem of a tree pushing against our house. Definitely do not recommend this business.

The tree removal was done on the spot after the initial estimate. Crew also cleaned up and hauled away both trees at a fair price. Detailed receipt was provided. Jacob was very professional throughout. Happy with the results.
