Journal Square Parking Garage

Parked there 3 days in a row. Paid cash. No issues. A few blocks to the Path train to New York. It was $20 for the day 6am-11pm. Stayed in NY late for a Broadway show and couldn't pick up the car till the next day since it was after 11 (my fault). Picked up the car next morning and paid $30 since it was an overnight.

These guys told me $20 for less than 24 hours parking. When I arrived to pick-up, all of a sudden it was $30. When I asked why, they couldn’t give me an explanation aside from telling me to look at the pricing on the wall. Complete con artists and it’s exactly why you can only pay cash. They don’t want to be held responsible or liable for lying to customers. Avoid this place at all costs.

Locked me in garage as I forgot card in my room and made be back up a one way curved road with no clearance as a solution, almost got hit by a car trying to come down road and was insanely dangerous and design is poorly done, instead of letting me turn around inside of garage to go get payment upstairs I had to drive backwards and almost get hit, car almost hit concrete barriers, horrible service and the attendant was incompetent, don’t park here

This parking lot is the worst parking lot I’ve ever used. The nighttime attendant is extremely rude to women. They’ve been promising us our car key for three days straight and now they’re saying you have to come back Monday. They took our money but they’re not giving us the service they promised.

I had some business in Jersey City for a couple of hours and I needed to find a car park close to the square. When I came to pick up my car they gave it to me with my moon roof open, the trunk open, and it looked like someone had rummaged through my arm rest compartment. Why on earth would they even need to open my moon roof? They had it open all the way and slid the inner panel open which has to be opened manually by hand. The trunk being left open and the way the things in my arm rest compartment were not put back was extremely sketchy. Thankfully I only keep things of little value like spare change, receipts, my glasses, and some electronics in there like phone charging cables.
