JW Piersons claims to be community friendly, but they are not. We had a frustrating incident this AM where they were filling the tanks of one of the houses on our st. The driver completely blocked traffic without a care in the world by parking next to a parked car when he could have easily pulled up another 5 ft to allow us to pass before refilling the tank. We politely asked the driver as soon as he stopped if he could kindly move his vehicle forward a few feet so we could pass. He refused was incredibly rude and had us wait for over 15 minutes while he deliberately took his time to fill the tank. This is a common frequent occurrence with them in the neighborhood. Ive filed a formal complaint with our local police dept.

I was a Pierson customer for approximately 12 years. I pay everything within days. Ever since they acquired Hilltop, there have been problems. I am almost 70 and partially disabled. This week, I called to ask them for an emergency delivery and they put me through to a potty-mouth who shouted at me "I will be happy to cancel your contract and refund your money." (I believe this was a former Hilltop employee who was the reason I switched to Pierson). I said that I hadn't called to cancel my contract - and that a judge would have to sort this out. She hung up. Pierson refused to make a delivery. After 12 years with them! Avoid Pierson at all costs. Imagine using depriving someone of heat as a way to retaliate because they challenged a potty-mouthed employee.

Pierson charges high prices but wants to give unprofessional, shoddy work. They charged me $8,000. to add, correct, and install radiators. The pipe in my dining room was sloppy, came from the wall instead of under the floor, and the radiator was crooked. Pat came to my home and shouted at me because I didn't accept it. He is a very nasty, unprofessional man who'd hang up the phone on you for no reason. Don't hire them. They're unprofessional money hounds. The owner's response is false. Another plumber abandoned my job after not following our agreement. It was in November, and I had no heat. After making several phone calls for help, I found out about the Weatherizing Program. Without that happening, I wouldn't have known I qualified for the program. The grant is a privilege for homeowners

I do not recommend this company. They seem to care only about selling oil, which I understand to a point, but their approach has been unreasonable. I have an oil furnace in my small garage, which is used mainly for storage. I only turn on the heat during extremely cold weather to protect the water pipes from freezing, so I don’t burn much oil. Because of this low usage, the company assumed I was buying oil from other suppliers and refused to renew my contract. I explained my situation multiple times. Even the technician who came for the annual tune-up saw that we use electric baseboard heating in the office and the oil furnace only in the garage. Because of their accusation, my landlord now believes I’m trying to buy cheap oil from other companies, which has caused completely unnecessary

Had to have my oil tank repaired today and my thermostat replaced. George did and excellent job!! Very friendly courteous fast service. Thanks again.
