We had a water heater installed without incident in 2020. This home is a short term rental and my management company reached out to Frank (the original installer) about a leak that had recently developed. He stated in writing to them that a valve was leaking when the heater was installed and that I refused to allow him to drill through drywall for a drain. From my understanding, a water heater should not regularly leak unless there is a problem and we have a drain in the floor. I was not informed that there was a leak at the beginning and nor have I ever seen one during my visits there. A series of bizarre emails then went back and forth between Frank and myself in an attempt to have him come fix the leak. He made some highly inappropriate and unprofessional comments. We had Frank install the necessary valves and piping for a reverse osmosis filtration system to be added. He was on time, did a great job and charged less than the initial quote.
