Kalkaska Animal Hospital

This animal hospital is amazing! The employees and veterinarian are nice and very knowledgeable. The clinic is very clean and has great atmosphere. I Took my two border aussies in to get fixed, they came out with absolutely no swelling, healed extremely fast, and we're treated extremely well. Not to mention the prices are very affordable! I would recommend this vet to anyone.

I made sure to wait a while before I wrote this, because I didn't want to write it out of anger or grief, or be dramatic. That being said, I wouldn't so much as bring a pet here for a nail trim let alone a medical emergency ever again. I brought my senior dog to them and she had untreated health issues - not for lack of trying on my part. It just seemed like no other vet was able to find her issue. This one was an I was thankful for that. But the treatment they gave her did unfortunately have negative side effects - to keep things sort, they put her into kidney failure. I know things happen and it's not so much that it happened that bothers me. (It does - my dog died because of this and I'm heart broken, and I do somewhat blame them, but I know things do happen.) Good vets that don't sell you things that your pets don't need unlike other offices did to us. Prices are more reasonable here also.

The only vet around Traverse city that’s not highway robbery! If people want fake, overly friendly treatment, then you’ll pay for it. This is a real veterinary clinic.

Most unfriendly workers, will accuse you of neglecting your animal if they break a bone, and will call animal control on you for it. They’re extremely disrespectful, and just a disgusting environment. They dont communicate with you about your pets, dont show you the x-rays, didnt give any discharge papers. They are horrible. NEVER GO HERE they kill peoples pets.
