We called KD after having ARS Rescue Rooter tell us we needed to replace our system because it needed a $2,000 part and they wouldn’t put a $2,000 part in a system that is 10 years old. Not really their call but the fact that they were pushing for us to get a new system made me want to get a second opinion. Glad we did. Roger from KD came out and assessed the problem which was a simple issue of the drain line for the humidifier had become clogged and was causing a sensor that detects such a problem causing the furnace not turn on as a safety measure. In other words our system was working exactly as was supposed to and just needed the drain line cleaned out. Ironically we have a service contract with ARS (which I have since cancelled) that has them come out twice a year to maintain this sys

The choice of KD Mechanical Heating and Air Conditioning was an outstanding experience. It started when i I phoned the office and spoke with a most pleasant receptionist (Kelly?) that was easy to understand, organized, and quick to book my appointment. Kieth and Owen arrived early, were polite, well-mannered and very knowledgeable. They went right to work on my air conditioning unit. Found that it was a clog in the trap and cleaned it out in no time. They explained how the drainage system works so I may be able to fix the problem myself next time. After completing the problem, they went outside the house to see my AC unit and to look for any other issues that may occur or be related to the original problem.
