Lancaster Parking Authority (LPA)

We're located about 20 minutes away from Lancaster and my wife and her dad went to pickup some heavy items (recliner & treadmill) at an auction located on Hershey Ave. They both drove in, turned around at the turkey hill and parked along the side of the road closest to the house where the auction pickup was. (They both passed exactly one sign about parking - neither noticed; every other sign passed did not apply on the route in. We know this because of the dashcam running in our vehicle.). My wife parked her vehicle at 12:53:20 (as recorded by dashcam), got out and unloaded our 3 kids. At this point she noticed a street sweeper crew, who were blowing their horns. I guess they’re now in the business of damaging property. Came out to my car to a broken windshield wiper. Unironically the one they lifted to put the ticket under. Btw your job is the most non respectable. Go figure out a way to make a living doing something respectable. I genuinely don’t understand how and why people don’t shame the absolute daylights out of the people doing this clown work. Make them feel so disgusting no one wants to work this worthless job. Property damage is unacceptable. Completely.

Parking authority offices close at 4:30pm on a Tuesday- during a snow emergency? I'm sorry, but yall need to reevaluate... I know you guys are for sure paying your people enough to be on the phones -even remotely, dont forget its 2026- Providing information to locals and travelers! -Lanc local

If I could give a 0 i definitely would! I was on King St Lancaster PA in front of cash a check I had paid at the kiosk my time was up at 2:33 pm why one of there officers gonna approach my vehicle at 2:30 pm didn't even check my time ( I'm watching him since the moment he approached my vehicle) he put the ticket on my windshield I run out to my car immediately and let him know my time is not up ! Ofc I show him the receipt he didn't even apologize take my ticket off my car and just walk away couple days go by I stop in to pay another ticket of course of street cleaning ( these people love taking people's money!) the lady at the front desk gonna tell me I have 2 tickets due I told her I'm here to pay the one but the other ticket is a mistake on there end she gonna say there is no way they

Poor signage. They had a no parking sign with a no parking during street cleaning sign and you can't tell that they're for different parts of the street because the curb wasn't painted yellow where it was supposed to be. Edit: Reply: I did call the number on the ticket to explain. They said to contest the ticket I had to wait 30 days and appear in front of a magistrate. I was only in town for a week to visit family. They said Parking Authority doesn't paint the streets and gave me a number to call the Street Department. The number was an automated message reminding me about street cleaning, which I was not in town during. My aunt eventually just looked up the Street Department number to complain.
