8/31/2022 we paid Layton $27,950 for 2 catch basins, n12 Storm pipe, sdr35 pipe all to direct water from back yard to drains down sides of our yard and down to utility drains along the road at the front of our home. It was also to regrade with topsoil, seed and straw to establish grass. In 8/2025 a rain storm hit. The basins were not put deeply enough in to the ground and so the water washed over them resulting in the backyard flooding. As no grass ever established in the backyard, the flooding really didn’t change the grass situation. When I called in July 2025 they could not find a copy of my invoice or any scope of work. A Layton truck driver rear ended my vehicle, and one other vehicle. This caused about $10k in damage to my vehicle, to which Layton's insurance refuses to pay out on. I am still owed $4,600 in damages. After the accident, the first person the driver called was his boss, not the police nor his insurance to file a report. When I called his insurance company later that day, Layton had not contacted their insurance company at all. Wonder why that was? 0/5 stars. Would not recommend.

Layton excavated and removed an old fuel tank on the property. Top notch staff on every part of the job. Committed to restoration of the property after the work too. They went over and above on service and I highly recommend them.

My street was repaved with new sidewalks and all of that looks really nice but they dont want to put your property back to the way it was before they started, they dug into my property while putting in the sidewalk but when finished we had to pitch a fit to get fill dirt in the part they dug out, on top of that they planted weeds instead of grass seed and said that they got a bad batch from the city, well ok it happens but now everyone on the street has weeds growing between the sidewalk and the street. They also had a dump truck driver that did not pay attention while dumping and got caught on a line and almost pulled down a pole resulting in my line being jerked almost completely off my house. I called them and explained what I needed done at our place and the secretary who I spoke with said the guy I needed to talk to was on the phone in another room and that she would have him call me back. That was over a month ago and I never got a call back so went with someone else. Yes I did nearly copy this from another review so it must be how they do business.
