LAZ Parking - Pier Village Garage

Parked here for a quick trip on 8/1/24, only time I used my card on the trip. Within 24 hours getting calls from my bank as my card numbers were stolen and being used to shop online. Must've been some sort of skimmer or other device in place for stealing customers credit cards.

I prepaid (and overpaid at $38+) for the daily rate parking. However, the scanner did not work to scan our provided QR code. We got in to the garage easily by calling for assistance, but it took us about 15 minutes to eventually exit. We called for assistance again as directed upon entry, but they kept hanging up and insisting we just scan the code when the scanner did not work. After calling for assistance at least 6 times, someone was able to let us out with our confirmation number. Very frustrating to overpay for something that did not work and also caused a backup of 5+ other cars.

Overcharged us and apparently they do “congestion” pricing. $40 for 6 hours of parking is not worth the price, meanwhile they have the entrance listed as $35. Plus they ran out of receipt paper, so tack on 10 minutes of waiting for the service technician. Never again.

We parked at Pier Village LAZ parking and paid $25 in advance at the kiosk. On our way exiting the garage, the toll gate machine charged us again. We had no choice but to pay again or we wouldn’t be able to leave. There was no attendant to assist us. Robbery. I will be disputing with my credit card.

This is a crooked parking garage!! They charged my daughter $100 for losing her ticket. The customer service phone contact does not work. Do not park in the LAZ garage at Pier Village. I won't shop or dine there ever again.
