Lazzaretto construction company recently completed another renovation project for my family. We have been returning to Chris for our work since 2010 because of his thorough planning, craftsmanship, time to completion, reasonable costs, and honesty. In addition to these important qualities, Chris is especially proficient at keeping one informed of the status of the project. I consider communication very important and Chris does this extremely well. The projects included demo and rebuild of a garage, finishing two basements, remodeling bathrooms/kitchen/family room/laundry, and the expansion of a garage which required major structural engineering. Strong starter, poor finisher. I would not recommend this company for any remodeling work. The contractors are not trustworthy, the quality of the work was mediocre at best, and we were told "nothing's perfect" and "no one's going to notice that" more times than I can count. Short cuts everywhere! The tile work was horrible, doors were hung improperly and latches don't work, wood floors were choppy and the finish bubbled, contractors went through our closets and stole from our house. Chris can not be trusted. Run don't walk!

Chris finished our basement and we could not be any happier. He was organized and responsive and we are very happy with quality of the work. Great contractor!
