I’m a piano technician & I’ve used Van Lewis frequently, for years, to move pianos to and from my restoration shop, and into my clients’ homes and venues. They’ve tackled very difficult moves, accommodated urgent requests and handled situations with VIP pianos consistently with care, competence, speed and professionalism. I’ve used this company about four times, three times for a spinet and most recently for a baby grand. Always a competitive price, very professional and careful with the pianos and home/apartment, very quick, and a really nice team. Scheduling was especially easy the most recent time and they are great about giving you a heads up about arrival.

Lewis piano movers are my heroes. Originally I had called a few companies for estimates and made a reservation with another company....who the day before pickup, when I called for my window of pickup time, they admitted they didn't hit save on the reservation! Omg! and I was in a piano pickle. When I called Lewis Piano Movers and they immediately called back. I was in tears at that point with under 24 hrs before the origional arranged pickup... Dennis fit me into his busy schedule today. Hallelujah They are picking it up in a few hours. You are my heroes, thank you! You saved my piano and the day with your kindness and flexibility. I can't wait till my new/old piano is at my home.

Lewis and team crushed an insane piano move -- a 100+ year old baby grand moving from Richmond, VA to Washington, DC, and then transported up a narrow flight of stairs WITH A TURN. I was on pins and needles thinking this was an impossible job, but they absolutely got it done! They were on time at the pickup location, made short work of packing up the piano with care, got it up to DC, and had it moved up the stairs and installed so quickly. I was absolutely stunned. And such a fair price for such a wild move! These folks come highly recommended from the Steinway store in DC and I see why. Y'all have my business for the future!

Reasonably priced and they did a great job moving our upright piano. They took great care of the piano and were so efficient especially since they had a walk up to contend with. They were very responsive to all of our questions and communicated really well, especially on the day of the move. Highly recommend!
