Lowe's Home Improvement

On January 4, 2026 we went to Lowe’s Home Improvement to buy wood pellets.I was disgusted by the total focus on self check out only. Why should I be forced to check out my own goods? I am not trained or paid to do this job. Moreover, what about the people who worked there. Lowe’s once offered jobs to the community. Now AI has taken most cashiers’ jobs. Consequently I only go to Lowe’s for convenience. However, I am now actively seeking other sources for home goods. You have no loyalty to our community. So, I no longer will have loyalty to you. I use to enjoy going to Lowe’s. Now, I only use it for convenience.

I’ve consistently had disappointing experiences at this store. Despite the app indicating that certain items are in stock and specifying their location, they are often unavailable or misplaced. When I’ve asked staff for assistance, they typically direct me to the same location listed in the app, only to find the item isn’t there—and unfortunately, no one seems to know where it might be. Additionally, the pricing feels excessive compared to similar retailers, and the condition of the display products is concerning. Many items, particularly lighting fixtures, are visibly dusty and contain dead insects, which detracts from the overall shopping experience. I hope the store takes steps to improve inventory accuracy, staff training, and cleanliness standards.

I currently rent at the moment. Lowes came to deliver our new washer and dryer unit. However my roommates dog had run out of our apartment. When this happened the Lowes people decided that since our regular maintenance people were busy getting the dog back we are going to leave. Not set up the washer and dryer, and rush out of the parking lot and hit a tree. They also forgot to bring certain plugs with them and right now we have a washer and dryer unit we can't even use because they were being sneaky and lazy.

Got redirected multiple times and nobody spent time to help me with my issue. Was going to spend upwards of 20k + on installs and appliances for a renovation but the incompetent employees ruined that opportunity

The interaction with the department and retail associates is always great. However, this place always seems understaffed every time I go. But I will say the workers they do have are great. They just are stretched accross 3 departments. Which has then stressed out, not to mention still trying to answer questions of every customer. While I was waiting on getting my wood cut, a young associate came to the back and did it for me. I had a big project with lots of cuts, so I knew he was going to be back there for a while. He was multitasking as much as one person could. While cutting my wood, he helped 2 other customers and felt pressure from another department to go be a safety spotter. And then still run the customer service desk. I get its a business and they are trying to maximize profit, bu
