Lowe's Home Improvement

I was in Lowe’s early this yr. I had a plastic tote which included the lid. I had the lid on it bc I had other items in my other hand. While at the self service checkout this young white associate comes up and without saying a word opens the lid to see if anything is being taken out without being paid for. I was so shocked I went outside and sat down for a while then went right back in and asked for a manager and reported the incident. I am so shocked by this racial profiling that it sickens me. I’m a 66 yr old black man who will pay the balance on my account of $85 and permanently close my account, never to frequent Lowes again.

Lowes is like a ghost town, where is everybody? It’s 3 days before Christmas and someone thought it was a good idea to completely block off the entrance from Short Lane which is the ingress for most people. The only other entrance requires a u-turn on Hwy 17 which can be sketchy at best and very inconvenient. Probably too much of a hassle if you ask me, however there are die hards like my husband that will go anyway. The annoyance is finally getting there and they don’t have what you need! Is Lowes still a home improvement store?

I'm not sure why people looking for construction, home improvement or project material go anywhere else. The service is generally awesome, everyone is polite and helpful, the prices are low, the store is clean, they have ample registers staffed at all times and they carry all kinds of things besides construction and project materials. From returns to check out and lumber cutting, the store is great.

Great place for homeowners to find their needs. Great gardening section..often with bargains, store clean and neat, with helpful staff. Stopped by for an idea on near flooring and lighting looks here are some new pics .. think their flooring section is better not too sure they’re on top with lighting unless you’re seeking lamps too..

Looking at product in the garden area. Noticed the price tags were mixed. Asked a young man to clarify and as he was looking into the issue, when another worker, Elizabeth, walked up asking “what’s going on?” We explained and she said the prices were correct. We knew they weren’t and said so. Her attitude changed. She ignored us, talked to the young man rather abruptly and proceeded to scan the prices. The next few minutes had her peeling off the tags, they could have been easily switched, and ordered the young man to reprint. They both walked away without saying a word to us, “sorry about that,” “thanks for catching that,” or any number of acknowledgements. I’m not looking for recognition, I’m looking for courtesy. She did not have any for me or the other employee. Work on it, Elizabeth.
