Home Depot and Lowe’s are using AI-powered license plate readers and feeding this data into law enforcement surveillance systems accessible to ICE. Their parking lots are also regular sites of ICE raids targeting day laborers. (Update, 1/16/26: A spokesperson for Home Depot told The Nation, “Like many retailers, we use license plate reader technology in our parking lots. These cameras are used for the purpose of detecting and preventing theft and protecting the safety of our customers and associates. We do not grant access to our license plate readers to federal law enforcement.”) We are not many but we can still stand and show our support. The ways we CAN.

Just left Lowe's customer service was horrible .at the service desk because one way conversation and I feel bullied out the door . Because of a gift card concerning matter I had no idea .I told her to please not attack me and let me finish my matter she just didn't care to help or anything. Just a corporate mantaity. I left Lowe's in Plattsburgh like I wanted to puke.

Holden and the curbside team did a great job of packing my order promptly and accurately, very polite and great customer service! Some real gentlemen in this establishment!

Nonexistent customer service. I called twice, each time waiting on hold for over 30 minutes just to ask about flashing availability. The person who transferred me didn’t even bother to check whether my call was actually answered, it wasn’t. I was just left hanging on hold, forgotten. It’s clear nobody at Lowe’s cares about calls on hold or customer service in general. If you’re considering buying tools, do yourself a favor and skip ordering online from this company. With Amazon, at least you get someone who actually answers the phone when there’s an issue. Lowe’s is heading down the same path as Sears, ignoring customers until it’s too late.

The Plattsburgh store is convenient and has some great staff but the shelves aren't always stocked and you need to order on line since this store doesn't carrying a number of items on the website.
