My husband and I visited Lowe’s today prepared to spend over $500 on lumber for a home project. Unfortunately, the associate in the lumber department refused to assist us, which resulted in us leaving without making a purchase. The only boards available on the floor were severely warped, had raw edges, and were clearly defective and unusable. We noticed new, usable inventory stored overhead and asked if he could bring down approximately 16–18 boards so we could buy them. He refused and told us he could not move the inventory unless all of the defective material on the floor was sold first. At no point did he offer to ask for help, call another associate, or suggest a solution. He did not ask us to wait or attempt to assist in any way. The service is terrible, way too bad. I'm losing money on damaged items, customer service is incredibly slow, and the delivery of materials is incredibly slow. The staff is always in a bad mood, and I've lost over £2,000 with this store in Portsmouth and Suffolk. Awful service.

I had a great experience at Lowe's thanks to Tae! He went above and beyond cutting wood exactly to my specifications — quick, precise, and spot-on with every cut. What really stood out was his positive attitude and willingness to help not just me, but other customers as well. You could tell he genuinely enjoys what he does, and it shows in the quality of his service. Tae is a true asset to the Lowe's team — professional, friendly, and reliable. Give that man a raise!

Employees are very helpful and nice. However this is the second time I have had an issue with them honoring prices. Lowe's across the US right now has a Craftsman 16 gallon shop vac on clearance for $13. This Lowe's won't honor the price even with proof of clearance and keep saying it's not the same product that they sold out of it yesterday even though I showed them the product in their store with the same product number. Store manager was no help. Lowe's corporate was no help. I guess Clearance items go back to regular price when I show up to the store. Employees kept telling me it must be a different product even with the same exact item number. Weird. Won't be shopping Lowe's for a very long time if ever again.

I had a great experience with Matt at Lowe’s. He was patient, kind, and had a good sense of humor while helping me choose materials for my bathroom renovation. Even though he’s part-time, he brings full-time commitment and care. Thanks, Matt, for making the process easy and stress-free!
