Made in the Shade is an incredible company that I’ve relied on since building the home three years ago. After being highly recommended by multiple neighbors when we built, I had them redo our front walkway and landscaping to upgrade the minimum effort from the builder. From design to completion, and complete with color-adjustable lighting, we receive regular complements on their work years later. Since that time they’ve done hardscaping and landscaping on all sides of the house, do our spring cleaning, pruning, and mulching each year, have fixed water flow issues, aerated and seeded in the fall, and will be our only call moving forward. Besides the great work, they are trustworthy and diligent in all that they do. Grateful for their communication and responsiveness!

I've worked with Ken and his team for several years now. They handle all of our landscaping and snow removal at our commercial properties. They do a great job! Always there when needed and great communication. Ken treats our properties like his own and frequently notifies us if something needs attention. Pricing is always fair and reasonable.

Ken is a wizard of landscaping. For nearly 3 years Ken and his crew have meticulously maintained our sprawling country estate with unmatched precision. From lawn trimming, to hardscape to snow removal they can do it all. They even delivered hand carved jackolanterns at Halloween. Great Job!

We had Made in the Shade lay top soil & seed in the fall. When they came to dump the top soil we noticed actual trash in the piles they were bringing over. Garbage, large rocks, full tree branches. As someone who has never seen topsoil before I immediately knew this was not it. We said something to the delivery driver & called the person we were in contact with. They were slightly defensive and said they sift all of that out before laying it - but the next couple of piles that were delivered were noticeably richer in color and with less debris. After they laid the topsoil I noticed that there were patches throughout with a significant amount of rocks & pebbles piled up.
