Amicable enough guy but unfortunately we are not satisfied at all with the outcome and price. We initially reached out and inquired as to his rate and discussed the scope of the projects. We agreed on a day and time. In our discussion, we had outlined 3 projects to be done within an approx 6 hour window: peel and stick tiles for a 40 sq ft (tiny) bathroom, mounting a TV, and balancing a fan that wobbles a bit. He seemed a nice fella overall, but proceeded to take 6.5 hours to lay down some of the peel and stick tiles before we finally had to call it, as there seemed to be almost no progress at many different check-in points. I'm thoroughly disappointed with the service I received from Matt. He took an eternity to complete a simple project, and then had the nerve to charge me top dollar for subpar work. It's clear that he's more interested in lining his pockets than in doing a honest day's work. What's even more disheartening is that he's been caught leaving fake reviews for himself on these sites. I've seen it on his Google profile and on Nextdoor, where it's clear that he's gotten his buddies to artificially inflate his ratings. It's a sad state of affairs when someone feels the need to resort to such tactics. To me, this says a lot about Matt's character and his approach to business. Matt replaced some water damaged flooring in our screened in porch. Excellent work at a very reasonable rate. Can't recommend him highly enough.
