McDowell Floor Coverings

This was our experience was McDowells Flooring. All of the following things that were done improperly not to mention they had a non-licensed/insured/bonded contractor on staff that they lied about being properly licensed and he performed all of the tear out and installation. There response to us was “take the remaining balance and hire someone else to fix it”! Reports were filed with the BBB and NCDOJ in which they have failed to respond to. Do not use this folks whatsoever. Backsplash • Blue stains on tile in numerous places as a result of the contractor spilling blue toilet water on the boxes of tile that need to be replaced. • Tile pattern is not matched in numerous places and needs to be replaced. • Uneven gaps in grout edging in numerous places that need to be fixed. • Grout dust

Beautiful showroom with the largest selection of tile, hardwoods, and carpet! You will get high-end products for less than what you’d pay at Lowe’s for cheap flooring. 100% recommend!

Elizabeth and Robert are wonderful people and are owners of their store. They make you comfortable with the process of selecting the right carpet and best padding. Our first purchase from them was in 2007 and when we wanted to update recently, we went right back to them.

They did a great job installing the flooring. They put all new vinyl flooring (cortec) in our common areas of our home. We chose to tear up the old stuff and they allowed us to dispose of it in their dumpster. We saved a good amount of money doing it. Great people who will work with you and get you what you want. They allowed us to take samples of the flooring home and see if we like it In our home. They are very professional, friendly, and personable. This is both in the store and the crew they have installing the flooring.

Nice place to purchase your flooring. They have a large showroom and you can take samples home to ensure everything matches. The staff are very professional, wonderful friendly and very attentive.
