McGuire Plumbing & Heating

About eight months ago I had a drain cleared out from a shower. I was charged $295 for the service, okay. However, the workman left a HUGE MESS behind, including water that seeped out into the carpet outside of the bathroom. I had to buy a shop vac to clean it up and do mold remediation. I sent photos to the owner, Angela - she was appalled and said the bill was forgiven due to the mess. I thanked her and never heard another word about it until she emailed me recently.to tell me she was about to take me to court for nonpayment. I had a subsequent bill with McGuire which I agree was overdue. However, both bills have been paid and Angela blatantly LIED about forgiving the bill. So - their services are expensive - $235 to unclog a toilet - and if Angela says something to you get it

McGuire used to be a great company with reasonable rates and reliable people. It was sold a few years ago however, and is a totally different place now. They sometimes show up when expected, or not. They sometimes are helpful, but sometimes they are jerks who blow you off if they get a better offer. I no longer will use them because they now are unreliable and rude.

Having a problem with the drain going from our washer overflowing a few weeks ago. Mcguire Plumbing was the only service who could come that day--Wisler and Ostrom were going to be about a week each. Bo and Matt got to our house ahead of the time promised and got the obstruction (literally) in our drain cleared and draining perfectly in less than 2 hours. We would highly recommend them!

We requested a furnace cleaning and maintenance call. 2 younger men came and said we needed a nozzle. They left to go get the part and came back to install it. Afterwards the furnace would not come on and we were told it was completely broken. They said they would look up the price of a new heating system when they got back to the office.That never happened. I called them back and was told no one makes oil furnaces any more. This company has very poor communication with customers. I had to call them multiple times. I was charged $140.00 for 20 minutes of work. I later found out that that new oil furnace systems are available. My furnace just needed a cleaning and works fine. We were overcharged and this company is not knowledgeable. They are not very friendly.

Just needed wax ring replaced on toilet. It's hard to find people who are willing to do such small jobs these days. Called on Monday and they came on Wednesday. Chad and Randy got right to work and were finished in about 15 minutes. They were friendly and professional and we would definitely use them again.
