McWire Electric, Inc.

We contracted with McWire Electric on Sept 11, 2014 to install solar panels and a battery backup system. After paying a substantial initial down payment, they put us off for 12 months saying that the manufacturers were back logged and could not produce enough panels. Finally in October of 2015 they came to the house and put panels on our roof. They did not wire them together or to anything, just attached them to the roof. It is now February 2016 and McWire has closed their doors and have gone into hiding. We did not receive our back up system and the panels are not wired up. It is my opinion that they have been a scam company from the very beginning!

I contracted with McWire Electric on April 6th to install solar panels on my house. It is June 9th and I still do not have solar panels on my house. We contracted with their chosen loan company, giving a down payment over a month ago. When I call to get an update, no one seems to know what is going on. Our phone calls do not get returned, nor do I get any correspondence from anyone. I recommend not using this company. I have no confidence that I will get the panels installed any time soon, nor can I count on receiving any kind of customer service afterwards.
