Melissa's B-A painting

We had Melissa come and do the finish work (putty, caulk, prime, and paint) on a fireplace buildout and a geometric accent wall in our office. We were impressed with her level of knowledge as she worked with the MDF trim on both prefinished and unfinished walls. She was always on time and super respectful of the fact that this is our home and she treated it as if it were her own. Melissa's attention to detail was outstanding. Could not recommend her enough.

Melissa did a fabulous job! We were very impressed by her work, speed, attention to detail and cleanliness. We hired her to do a large project and thought we could do the smaller projects ourselves. When we started the smaller project after she had gone, it was not as easy as she made it look, so we threw in the towel and hired her again! She was quick, efficient and reasonably priced and it was so worth it to have her finish all projects! I will recommend her to all of my clients and friends.

DON'T! We had Melissa come in to give us a bid on a large (she quoted $14,000.00) interior painting job. We told her we wanted to hire her to do the job and requested a contract so we could pay her the 1/2 down she requested before starting. She put us off for two weeks texting various excuses for the delay. We waited, not getting additional bids, believing she planned to do the job as had promised. With difficulty, we were able to contact her after two weeks (she blocked my number). She would not answer or return my husbands calls. She finally informed us, via text, that she would not be doing a contract with us. No explanation, no apology, nothing. We are so grateful that we didn't give her $7000.00! BEWARE!!

We have never experienced what we just experienced with any contractor. This is our 7th subcontractor we have hired for our basement finish in the past 8 months form the framing, electrical, to the drywall, and trim. We were referred to her from our trim guy at the last minute because the painter we were planning to use said he couldn't come for three weeks. She gave me the impression that she would do the job for what he was going to do it for and could do it right away. She did not complete the job to our satisfaction and should have never excepted the job if it wasn't worth it to her. I really shouldn't have paid her the full amount and only 70% as we felt 70% of the job was completed.
