Owner Ben Cupp and his team were great to work with. From prompt response time, to accurate quote and being able to do exactly what they said they were able to, Mel's Excavating was a pleasure to do business with! They went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the results of their work. I wish I had started with them first as I had a couple different companies out to do some of the excavating work we needed on our heavily wooded and hilly 10 acres, and they way over promised and under delivered on their services. We are so excited to be well under way with installing our Paddock Paradise track system for our horses! I will be calling Ben for all my future excavating needs and will gladly refer him to anyone!

I live on the East Grand Traverse Bay. In the Spring of 2020 Mel & his team installed a stone wall to fortify my shoreline. I must say that I am extremely satisfied with the workmanship and quality of their work. During a recent storm with sustained northwest winds all day in excess of 30 mph and gusts near 45 mph, the wall held up great! Mel & Ben, thanks for a great job well done!

We live on East Bay and had significant erosion along our shoreline. Ben and his team installed a beautiful seawall. It has weathered many storms, very high winds and waves.
