Menards

The store and employees are nice and all, but I loath shopping there. 11% cash back only matters if you take the effort to apply for it, and doing so is tedious and often not worth that effort. Especally considering you are forced to mail it. Menards banks on this, so it is just a way for contractors & Menards to rise their praises for nothing. Then there is the lay out, one entrances for a store the size of a super center is idiotic. The store designer should be fired, because to my knowledge, no other major home improvement or lumber yard is laid out so poorly. The layout is based on loss prevention but the inconveniences in design results in a loss of business which exceeds any loss prevention. Finally, the last thing a home improvement store needs is food. Snacks and soda are fine

I really appreciate every Menards having a near identical layout so I can walk right to what I need no matter what location I visit. The store was clean, employees friendly, and I found what I needed(and more) and away I went. I recommend Menards over Lowes expect for power tools. They have a much larger selection of everything else in comparison, plus wayyyy more lumber choices compared to Lowes and Home Depot.

I love Menards but the cashier (Marcia) at the store today was the rudest worker I have encountered there. A simple misunderstanding on the price of something turned in her calling another worker over, stating that my partner and I were arguing (not even the reason we needed someone to come do a price check). We had 2 separate orders and she deleted the entire order before the other worker came over. She then insisted in looking through all of our totes after someone came over, insinuating we were stealing? Not happy. She’s disgustingly rude to paying customers.

I do a lot of business with Menards. I have rental properties & a farm with lots of animals. Always receive great service.

Friendly associates. I went in to pick up an item, website said that particular store had it in stock, but they didn’t. Updating the website would be helpful.
