I want to give a huge shout-out to the paint department at the Portage Menards. I’m a regular customer here—I come in every morning and often multiple times throughout the day—so customer service and product knowledge really matter to me. I originally came in to have a paint color matched and purchased three gallons. Unfortunately, the initial color match wasn’t correct, and once I started painting, it was clear the color didn’t match what I needed. When I came back, Britini and Sophia immediately took ownership of the situation and made it very clear that fixing the issue was important to them. They try to sell you damaged goods. I couldn't accept the item because of damage to the shipping box. None of the items available were in undamaged boxes. Im sure that they dont even care about this problem.

My husband, who is a contractor, visited this location to rent a sanding machine for an epoxy flooring job he was completing for a client in the area. During this visit, he was treated unprofessionally by an employee named Tracy, whose behavior came across as prejudiced and racially motivated. In 2026, no one should have to experience discrimination or bias while simply trying to conduct business. This type of treatment is unacceptable and deeply concerning. I will be reporting this incident to corporate for further review.

The Portage Menards is my 'go to' place for my home maintenance needs. I can shop online to check inventory before heading to the store. While not 100% accurate all the time, I'll give them 95%.
