On January 12, 2026, I was ticketed for parking in the lot at the Lancaster Amtrak train station. This is clearly their mistake as I have a receipt. After sharing that receipt multiple times with their Customer Service team, there is still not an adequate response nor a resolution.

Confusing app design and unprofessional customer service I tried to pay for 24 hours of parking, but the website interface design is terrible. After selecting the time, there was no clear submit or confirmation button, so I went back to make sure it worked and got charged for another 24 hours with no warning. I contacted customer service immediately to explain what happened. It was clearly a flaw in the app, not something I intentionally did. Instead of acknowledging the issue, they acted like it was my fault and only offered a refund after I said I’d leave a bad review. That’s not how good customer service works. The scan to pay feature is terrible. It took FORTY minutes to use the "convenience" of scan to pay. I followed the steps and entered my phone number in order to receive the verification code and waited. After a few minutes without receiving a code, I tried again. And then again. I also installed the app which required the same steps - phone number, verification code. The first code I requested came through sixteen minutes after requesting it. I scoured the help section to no avail. I also tried to call support which was useless. When I finally received a code that wasn't expired, the app required me to use my location settings to determine in which lot I had parked. Im very upset with your parking payment system! I tried to pay my parking this morning using the QR code provided but it didn't work. I then stopped at the front desk in the Amtrack station to ask if there is another option to pay, and was told that's the only option. I had a train to catch so was forced to leave without making my payment. Upon my return I find a parking ticket on my car with a $45 fine on top of my $10 parking fee! Provide more payment options for those with limited internet access!

New parking company (Metropolis) absolutely sucks. They only offer parking in 24 hr intervals. They fined me because THEIR attendant misread my license plate. When I appealed, they conceded but sent a rude diatribe about how it was my fault and that I wouldn't be given any grace on future issues? Will literally pay double for an Uber next time instead of parking on-site.
