MGL Granite Inc, Norfolk

So there was this granite top at Lowe's. It was my DREAM stone. When I found out how outrageously expensive it was it becamea pipe dream. I was referred to MGL by a friend, and I'm so glad I went outside my comfort zone to go to smaller business. You see, me and my husband were just burned so badly by a contractor company (B&G Home Improvement) who "put our house back together" after severe water damage. They robbed us blind and the work was done so awful it is costing us dearly to fix. So going to a small name company gave me a bit of anxiety to say the least. Awesome and affordable! We need a change so we contacted MGL for new granite countertops. They were prompt with getting out for an estimate and then super fast turn around to get the new counter in! Workers that put the counter in were professional and did a beautiful job! Would highly recommend!! (Don’t mind the missing cabinet doors…we are doing a complete kitchen renovation!)

Outstanding customer service from the first phone call to the manager of Norfolk shop, to the finished product. We needed a piece of granite to be cut-to-size and polished for a small fireplace hearth, and another smaller piece for a separate surface, which we were to install ourselves. This sweet, soft spoken lady took us out to the remnant yard, waited for us to have a look at *everything* (two or three times over) and then helped us choose when she saw the opportunity to make a suggestion-which she was exactly right! When we went inside to draw up the bill another gal came in, she turned out to be the manager of the Norfolk shop I had spoken to the day before, while the woman who'd been helping us manages the Hampton store, and said she was covering for her, was actually the owner! After trying to deal with another company that wasn't responding to our calls, we called MGL Granite. They were wonderful to work with and made our granite hearth quickly, and at less than 1/2 the cost we had been quoted elsewhere. Excellent company!

I would not recommend this company to anyone. They were very unprofessional and did not deliver the quality promised. I specifically requested a quartz countertop for my kitchen, but the material they installed is questionable. It stains easily, and within just a month, it is already leaking and falling apart. The installation was done poorly, without proper caulking or sealing, resulting in an ugly and disturbing appearance. I cannot endorse their services.
