Michael & Son Services

*Long review* I recently had Michael and Son come out because I believed my pipes had frozen. I had been keeping various faucets running for several days prior, turned up the temp in the house (to 74-76degrees). However by Tuesday night (2/10/2026) it was clear the pipes somewhere had frozen fully. I was completely without water, faucets were dry and toilets were no longer flushing. I turned off my water main and I called Michael and Son to come the following day. They sent a technician/plumber who advised that I could have the valve at my water main replaced which would change the pressure coming through, potentially allowing more water, possibly break up any frozen sections. When he quoted me $800+ I declined as this was no guarantee. He was very clear that this was no guarantee. He said

Fernando came within the scheduled time frame and did a quick diagnosis of the HVAC problem. The issue was resolved with satisfactory and the whole process went smoothly. He was friendly and professional, respectful to the house and the client.

Joseph Johnson was amazing. He was honest and showed me everything that should have caused the pipes to backup, but they didn't. It ended up everything was ok with my plumbing and no service was needed. He did provide an estimate showing what the service costs and explained everything. If I ever have a plumbing issue, I will definitely be calling this business and asking for Joseph. In today's world, it is very rare to find an honest business, yet alone, an honest sales person. I just found both. Thank you Michael and Sons for providing exceptional service! It will not be forgotten and is greatly appreciated.

Douglas was very professional and knowledgeable, and I appreciated his time and thoroughness during the visit. Unfortunately, my issue remains unresolved. I was informed on Saturday that a plumber would be needed and that someone would contact me to schedule an appointment. As of Monday evening, I have not yet received a follow-up. I understand that coordination can take time, but I would appreciate clearer communication regarding next steps and the expected timeline.

We appreciate his explanation of what’s in our service contract for planned services that help keep our systems clean and running smoothly.
