Hiring a professional like Mickey is well worth it. He helped us in looking at a potential home and to see potential issues before making the purchase. This helped us negotiate repairs and a different price which was way more value than the cost of his service.

Mr Ellis was incredibly thorough with his inspection! At first I was going to pick an inspector based off of my budget and was clear with Mickey that was my intention. He said, ok... but just to make sure you're protected ask the other inspectors these things.... as he gave a list of what to look for in a good inspector I started seeing more inspectors with poor ratings and even lawsuits. Mickey Ellis is the best home inspector I have ever seen. He did home inspection twice for me. First time is around May of last year, he did thorough inspection and pointed out everything I should pay attention to and gave god recommendation. I think I met with a good inspector though I walk away from the house. Last Week, I did do the home inspection second time. I still choose Mickey since I believed him. He took more than 5 hours on the thorough inspection and point out any potential issues even small ones while he emphasize the safety issues. This is my second time using Mr. Mickey. Based on his inspection report, the seller agreed to put a new roof on the house. He is very thorough, professional, informative and really good at what he does. I called another home inspector, just to shop around, but that inspector told me he is not as thorough as Mickey. He said, "Mickey uses codes on his inspection findings, and I do not." With that in mind, we decided to go with Mr. Mickey again. Not only did he locate a leak in the house, and mold, he also determined that the house needed a new roof. He found several issues with the home, but he also listed pictures, and current state codes to back up what he was saying. We pray he is still inspecting homes when we get ready to build our forever home.
