Midwest Art Conservation Center is world-class. I’m so pleased and grateful. Rita Berg, you are a Jedi master. After consulting remotely, I took in a 125+ year-old historically significant and valuable heirloom painting, the highlight of my collection. Decades of wear and tear, dirt, cigar and cigarette smoke left the subject of the painting looking like a chimney sweep. Two nails poking through from the back and a tear several inches long from a recent stint on set of a theater left the painting too far gone for display. There was no way I’d let just anybody work on the piece. Delicate care and expertise were essential. Thank goodness we have MACC in the Cities because that is exactly what I got. The examination (structural, physical, chemical, radiological) and treatment blew me away.

They did conservation on a watercolor painting for me. Amazing work! And excellent turnaround time.
