Hello Mike, Mark came to my rental house to replace an air vent check valve. After replacement, he turned back on the furnace and he said the system pressure is unstable and fluctuating over 30 psi. According to him, the system pressure requirement must be under 30 psi. Therefore, he concluded the expansion tank is not doing its job and must be replaced. He said, he has not seen any tank like this. He said he is going back to shop and check for correct expansion tank. After he left, I check the website of the manufacturing company and I found the exact hydronic expansion tank (2.1 gallon) that perfectly match the tank installed in my Navien Combi Boiler system and I text the information to him. Furnace stopped working at night and it was 8 degrees outside. Was able to easily book online appointment on their website for first thing the next morning. Mark called in advance to let me know he was on the way and to get some details on my issue. Mark quickly diagnosed the issue and got the Furnace going again. Mark explained everything he was doing and what resolved the issue in a way that was thorough and easy to understand. Great technician. Highly recommend!
