Modern Comfort

We’re very happy with our new heat pump installation from Modern Comfort! Of course no one ever wants to be in the situation of needing a new system but as it happened we returned from vacation to no heat. We called our local company (that installed our upstairs unit 3 years ago) and the came out to give us the bad news. Our 17 yr system needed to be replaced and was no longer worth pouring money into. Their price was out of this world ($20k!) and come to find out was completely fine for what they suggested just no other options given. (We know that company is no longer locally owned so this makes sense). Knowing we needed a new system I called 2 more companies for quotes. The new quotes gave us options and educated us on why. I liked them both to be quite honest and pricing was similar.

I’m very happy with the new humidifier added to my heat pump which they installed last November. The technician, Mr Burhorst did an excellent job installing it and going over the operation with me. He is highly skilled and is an excellent asset for Modern Comfort.

The account would be under Diane Bradford. We have been a customer of Modern Comfort for 32 years. For that entire time we’ve had a yearly service maintenance agreement. We determined in October 2025 it had been several years since we’d seen a technician and we contacted them to find out why. The reasons they gave us were; a new computer system, that they sent out notifications, and that they called. We never received notifications or phone calls. When I explained to Modern Comfort that they had come out annually before , after notifying us, in the past, I was told that they no longer notify the customer when their annual service is due. Scheduled a service appointment several days in advance with them. They gave me a 4 hour window for the technician to arrive. I had to take a day off work in order to be there for the appointment. Waited 3 hours and 55 minutes of the appointment window only to have their office literally call me last minute to tell me the technician was now not going to be available and that they would do everything possible to have someone out by the end of the day. No thanks, you're fired. I went to work to salvage what I could of my day and called a much better, more reliable (and more reasonably priced) competitor. I highly recommend you consider other more professional companies before they waste your time, too.

Today's service call was exemplary: Prompt, communicative, quick and accurate in diagnosing and fixing the issue at hand. Modern Comfort associates exhibit a very high level of expertise and customer care. Thank you Modern Comfort!
