Morrissey Moving Co

I'm not sure what term is the opposite of "white glove service," but Morrisey Moving is a contender. We bought our first home... Upon entering our apartment, one of the movers, before even introducing himself, wanted to know if he could take the window a/c units home for himself. They spilled coffee all the way down our landlord's steps and now she's asking us to pay for a $250 cleaning bill. They complained to us the entire day about having to move all the boxes and furniture (you know, they job they were hired to do). At our new home, they left garbage everywhere and our large furniture items upside down and left in shrink wrap. They damaged or destroyed so many pieces of furniture, including tearing a huge hole in our couch. They slammed down a box that was clearly marked fragile;

I chose this company on a recommendation from a friend who had used them twice before. Another friend had recommended a different company but Morrissey's rates were far more reasonable and I'm thrilled I went with them. They came on time with a huge truck and four movers, and what had been estimated to take about six hours took only four (and that's including 50 minutes of travel time)! Items were put into the truck in an orderly fashion and they were efficient in placement at the destination. All the movers were courteous, friendly, and communication was crystal clear. Helen, at the main office, was very professional and helpful setting the whole thing up. I'd use again, no question.

Legitimately the biggest nightmare of a move using this service. After 14 hours of moving a one bedroom apartment 10 minutes away, I found tremendous damages across nearly every piece of furniture, many in the state of no longer being functional. Things like my mattress were dragged across the street. Fragile marked boxes with glass were tossed around leaving the contents in pieces. Beyond my possessions, the movers made serious damages in both the building I moved out of and the building I moved into. After discussing my issue with Helen, the owner, she threatened to send the movers to strong arm me. Highly recommend paying for a more legitimate company as this nightmare of a move felt like an insult to myself and my property. Pictures available upon request.

Stay Away!! We booked with them months ago and now less than a week before they move, they called me to tell me "sorry, we can no longer move you on that day and don't have the truck!" This put our family in such a bad situation. The owner and Helen didn't even try to figure out a way to make it work on the day they confirmed and promised. It's so last minute that its very hard to find another mover in time. Extremely unprofessional and horrible service. I just want to warn people to stay away because I wouldn't want this to happen to any other family last minute!

Super fast and efficient, and can't beat their price. The two guys from Morrissey's that came were great and Helen in the office was so helpful making my move seamless and stress free! Everything got to my apartment safe and nothing was damaged. Highly recommend for your next move!
