National Place Parking

Book via SpotHero for the best price. The 560 13th St NW garage has direct access to the JW Marriott and was the most convenient option for the stay. No in-and-out privileges with the SpotHero reservation, but plenty of space for a mid-size SUV and it felt safe.

We used the parking for 4 nights with no in-and-out access, and it was smooth and hassle-free. There was plenty of room for both large and small vehicles; we had a TX 350h and still had space on both sides. The 360° camera made parking easier. The garage felt secure and convenient. My only wish was to have in-and-out access. Advance booking helped with cheaper price.

Charge you 28 bucks for 2 hours, then close the pedestrian entrance and make you and your kids walk down the vehicle ramp and dodge the speeding cars. So yeah I'd skip it and maybe choose a garage that doesn't make you risk life and limb.

BRING THE SMALLEST VEHICLE YOU CAN! Super tight aisles, back in to your spot or you're going take forever to get out. You have to walk the ramps, there are stairs you can take, but no elevator. If you paid for VIP tix at National Theatre on Ticketmaster, you can't add extra time to include this time. We had to pay the event fare, $35, to get in. Attendant sat in her booth on her phone, so don't expect assistance there. And it's not open 24 hours. Signs all over say this. Reserved spots all over too, so good luck. Just park somewhere else. There's lots of parking down here, but they are all tight.

This is a very clean and safe parking garage, and also very easy to navigate. My reasoning for 3 stars though is due to the staff. I had to retrieve my car around 1am, and the door was locked. I called the phone number for security, and the person who answered said "sorry I'm taking a s**t you'll have to wait" and then told me I could try to walk down the ramp and wait for someone to come out which would open the gate. I did that, and luckily someone was driving out right as I walked up. Then when I tried to leave, the machine would not accept any of my 3 credit cards. The parking attendant was totally passed out and was sound asleep in the booth, and it took me at least 2 minutes of knocking on the glass to get him to wake up so he could help me.
