Gene Ellis is a master when it comes to masonry work and solving problems. He worked on an old friend's place in Annapolis, to her great satisfaction, and also on the restoration of one of my chimneys. Gene also overlooks their yearly inspection and maintenance. On landscaping matters, he's equally at home. He hails from a professional family of growers so he is conversant in what he suggests because he knows plants and trees. He is artistic and makes wonderful suggestions and sees possibilities when it comes to designing landscaping for an area or something as common as plants for a deck. When he tells you when he'll commence work, he's there, and is not filled with a lot of excuses why he can't get there after contracting your job. My back staircase was completely falling apart. To the point where it was unsafe for my daughter to go to the backyard. New freedom masonry completely replaced the steps with beautiful stone steps. I have multiple gardens in my backyard, but the one thing that people consistently ask is who did my stairs. I have a few upcoming projects that need work as well and I know who I’ll call when I’m ready to get those done.
