NL Heating and Air

Fix-It 24/7 came to look at my furnace and told me I needed a part that was going to cost me 1200.00 to replace a part that costs 300.00. Do the math, that's 900.00 for at best 1 hour of work BUT through their high pressure tactics almost had me convinced that I should just replace it. Come to find out, this part wasn't even the issue. I found out about Nick through a friend. He checked out my furnace and assured me that my 11 year old furnace was going to be just fine. I'm so happy I found him and will call him from now on with my HVAC needs.

Nick and Jake have always been honest, professional, and overall hardworking and excellent! They've replaced our old heatpump (in the ceiling of our condo unit), serviced it, and helped fix a dryer booster fan. We've stayed cool in the summer and warm in the winter for years now. I strongly advise anyone considering NL Heating and Air to think twice. Unless you're highly knowledgeable about HVAC systems and their operation, I recommend avoiding this company. In my experience, they misrepresented their ability to resolve the issue, charged an exorbitant amount, and ultimately failed to fix the problem. They did not conduct proper due diligence by inspecting the compressor for leaks before recommending that refrigerant be added to the condenser. I felt taken advantage of and am now out $1,100 with nothing to show for it—might as well have flushed the money down the toilet.

Our heater went out at our dog daycare and we’re days away from a stretch of sub zero temperatures. Nick came recommended from a friend, so we gave him a call. He came out same day and quickly got to work! The heater tried to give him a hard time, but he bested our heater AND fixed the noise level on it! Forget all the commercials you see on TV, give Nick a call. You get what you pay for, and was one of the nicest guys we have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Customer for life!

It is rare to find a Heating and Air contractor with such integrity and knowledge. Nick has worked in many businesses, but decided to go out on his own to do the work right at a fair price. Nick built a new water pan for my ancient evaporative cooler to give me a couple more years before we put in AC. His fabrication and installation was less expensive than I could buy just the item online and was custom made for my old unit. Then he and James installed a great new furnace and AC when the time was right. He gave me a great price on a more expensive furnace when the less expensive model could not be obtained. He does everything with a can-do attitude and clear explanations of the work. I would highly recommend him and would only use Nick and James for Heating and Air home services in the f
