North American Van Lines

We hired North American Moving Services for a large move from Montana to California, including a main home and guest quarters. We paid over $20,000 and had high expectations based on initial conversations. Unfortunately, the experience turned into one disappointment after another. The company first asked to delay our move by one day to accommodate their schedule. On moving day, movers arrived at 8:00 a.m., but the truck did not show up until after 11:00 a.m. The crew was short-handed and unable to finish loading by the end of the day. Because the truck was only half loaded, they had to return the following day. On day two, only one mover showed up to help the driver load the remainder of our home. We have moved over 20 times in our lives, but this moving experience was the worst we have ever experienced. The damage done to our home items and furniture was excessive, they left us with no paperwork (household inventory), did not follow procedures, and they took our 20 foot ladder (who knows when we will ever see that). They sheared off the leg of my 100 year old antique hutch, making it worthless and unstable now. They promised white glove service and I got worse service than the cheapest mover out there. This is the second time we’ve used NorthAmerican Van-lines to move. Sam Cavagnetto was our driver. What a nice man. Super professional and very clean. Not only did he drive but was very hands on with the loading and unloading crew. If you ever have the opportunity to work with Sam. You will not be disappointed. Thanks Sam.

North American Van Lines was all most amazing. The care in packaging every item in my home was top of the line. The care in loading was also truly amazing since it took 2 big trucks. From across the US, Through Horrible weather conditions and destroyed roads, they were able to get a truck through and unload. The driver Doug, was 5 0. You can't ask or get anyone better. He was able to put together a good crew to unload, that was helpful and caring of all items. The second truck arrived several weeks later. Same great driver but the unloading crew seemed not to care as much. Heavy boxes were stacked on lite boxes, some upside down, loose items were just piled up on a table, but Through it all there is nothing broke that I can't fix easily. A very stellar experience from start to finish All personnel were professional, friendly, honest, reassuring, and efficient. Pricing was honest. My belongings arrived undamaged, even my cello. I am so glad that I chose this company to handle my move.
