Oak Street Parking Ramp

Worst ramp I've ever had to park in. Only park here because I have a contract for work. Also on campus so not a whole lot of options. All parking spots are narrow making it hard when a large vehicle parks next to you. People have parked so close, I've had to climb in from the passenger side. Definitely need wider spots. The decent parking spots are for compact cars. There are 2 floors dedicated to valet parking but they don't even use half that space. I just hate this ramp! There is nothing convenient or nice about it.

Lot is 3 blocks from Moos Tower. It is on the University campus. The first level has numbered patient parking. The second level has valet parking, which is nearly always empty. The spots are too narrow, and you have to hug the wall to be safe. In my first week, I learned the hard way. Somebody backed into my car, left no note but $3k worth of damage. Security must be poor as there was no video of the accident. The floor bounces as traffic goes by. Plus, the numbers are confusing. Ie I park at level 3, E5, but get off on floor 2. Many people use the panic button looking for their vehicle. It Echos too much to help.

Catalytic converter stolen twice in a 4 month period while i was at work. I thought this ramp was secured. I have contract parking and when talking to security, they just tell me to call the local police to file a report. Are there no cameras? I'm paying for the contract parking for my job, AND having to pay for cat converter replacements with no help from the security. I'm honestly thinking of leaving my job simply because of this parking ramp and the paranoia of my car getting tampered with a third time. I can't believe I might have to quit my job over the lack of security in this parking ramp.

We park here for every home football game. Fairly easy to drive in from the backside. Usually well staffed to help with scanning parking passes and keeping the lines moving.

Parked here for the MN United game and afterwards we had to wait in the ramp over 45 min trying to leave. Considering they host games every week between the Gophers and United, it’s amazing that they don’t have a better system. Will NOT be parking here again!
