We selected Outdoor Design by Oz for design, demolition, hardscape, construction, and lighting services to renovate and transform our Queen Anne cottage. We loved their online portfolio and came to Ozzie, Owner, with a very complex large and tall retaining wall project for our backyard. We enjoyed working with their team so much that after our backyard was completed, we signed on to do our front yard and driveway with them! After our initial meeting with Ozzie and Christine, Designer, they knew right from the get-go that our project will need to go through the 3-6 month permitting process with the City of Seattle. They also let us know early on that a structural engineer, geotech, and site surveyor were needed and they would be handling the coordination process. We felt confident in signing the contract

Mario and the Design by Oz team did an excellent install of a retainer wall and vinyl fence! They were diligent and professional, explaining the work they were doing and the structurally sound aspects they added throughout the build to make sure our fence lasts. Additionally when first working through what the project would look like, Christine had a great eye for aesthetics and symmetry to add a crisp finish to the design. Christine and Oz of Outdoor Design by Oz were professional, timely, communicative and engaged from start through finish - and beyond. They aren't a company you use when you seek the cheapest way to get a job done, but one you hire to get a job done well and one time, and one to actively work with you as things come up during the construction. Their work crews were polite and respectful. Our project was not exciting: a 50-foot retaining wall plus fence, with a wrinkle of removing bamboo the previous homeowner had mis-planted (never plant this evil weed!) in proximity to a shared, clay sewer line. By removing the bamboo, relocating a large pot, and then filling in those spaces with similar paver stones, Oz effectively doubled our usable space in our small, Seattle back yard. We plan to add
