ParkSJ: Third Street Garage

They scam you at night watch out. The security sits out in front of the payment machine and ask for 10-20$ when in should only cost 2$. If the scammers are out leave and park down the street for free, they also don’t protect cars from being broken into which happens a lot apparently, they are just scammers. Someone needs to do something about this…

Looks like a San Jose city lot, but it’s not. Validation not accepted. No warning that it’s cash only until you go to pay. Park elsewhere. There’s city parking nearby that takes validation and credit cards.

Four things you need 1)exact change as the machine does not take cards nor does it deapense change without a technician. 2)a cellphone to call the company that runs the place if you have an issue 3) luck that the machine will take your ticket. 4) your sanity. In all honesty, don't park here. Ever. I called for assistance for myself and another customer (total stranger, but wanted to help). His ticket was not being accepted by the machine. It took my $20 for the $6 charge and I got 0 change. I heard it try to give change. The guy on the phone was more concerned with the guy who's ticket was not accepted and kind of blew off my loss. Oh and convienlenty the guard was not in the office throguh all this.

I entered the parking lot suspicious and leery of the costs we would endure as We would be leaving late at night on a Monday 9:30-2-am . My boyfriend ended up paying $10 to leave this parking lot. There was no ATM and no credit card acceptance upon leaving this parking lot by the way and I had to pee really badly! It was not securities fault. I repeat. it was not securities fault.Do yourself a favor men of the world: if your girlfriend has to Pee late at night, do not park here under no circumstance. Unless they are down for that pee splatter late at night. Peace and love ❤️

CONVIENIENT TO THE SJ TECHSHOP FACILTY facilities are in substandard condition. Handicap access is denied due to broken elevator for a significantly long time. Claim is that they cannot fix it due to a needed part that is not available. I don't believe that negates their responsibility under the accessibility laws. Also on 8/2/17 the exit gate came down prematurely and struck the back of my truck, got caught in my tailgate and ripped the plastic cap off of the tailgate top... it has been two days and there is no response to the incident report filed with the attendant and supervisor that we had to wait a long time for. Beware of the gate....
