Pearl Street Parking Garage

I had a great experience with this garage. The entry was smooth, the exit was totally easy and the posted instructions are clear and plenty. I had downloaded the nexpass app the previous day and my feeling is that even without that, the process would have been smooth. I would definitely use this place again.

This a review for my first time using this garage. I’m sure once you understand how things work it’s not an issue. So you pull in at the gate and there’s no ticket. It says to just go through. The gate sensor detects your car and the gate lifts. The parking spots are too narrow. The cars opposite you on the deck are also too close so backing out of the spot is a three point maneuver. Annoying. But the worst part is when you go to pay. You pull up to the gate and there’s a small screen next to a giant sign with a QR code that prompts you to download an app to pay.

Evening of Oct 7 after completing payment exit gates would not open. Called every phone number displayed near the exit. None answered. Sign that tells non-app users to "tap your card on the terminal" perhaps would have worked if there was a label identifying the terminal. Tapped everything that perhaps was a terminal but no action resulted. Eventually out of desperation, focused my phone's camera on a QR code labeled "Scan Code to Pay". I had already paid. This worked. In general Nexus Sparking needs to: 1. Post a reliable phone number when help to exit is needed 2. Answer the phone 3. Update all signage 4. Actively monitor garage activity I have written to tem similarly.

Not a good experience with this parking garage. Horrible transition to a buggy app system makes the queues for entering or leaving annoying. Then installed plate readers that work half the time. If you're a resident there's no discount, but also no reserved spots so you have to pray you find a spot. To top it off, if you have an EV it's good because there are chargers. But then you have regular cars parking in the EV designated areas so you have to wait or just go somewhere else. Parking here constantly is a huge headache.

Just had to give my daily parking garage a great review..I been parking in this great and clean parking garage since 2017 ..I live in Woodmont Metro. The building connected to Pearl St Parking Garage..this garage got really better and easy to park since I started parking here..I give a lot of credit to the corporate office workers and managers.. no more tickets or scanning app..I pay monthly and just drive thru gate when it opens..love it..it is used by tenants who live in Woodmont Metro and people who park here and take train across the street for working neighbors living in Metuchen and Edison and for people coming to visit this great town (Metuchen) to shop,eat at alot of great restaurants here and to hang in Haileys Pub on Main Street..(great bar may I add with great beers, cocktails a
