In the summer of 2025, we assessed that all of our outside siding must be replaced on our 65 year old log cabin cottage on Lake Huron. We selected Performance Roofing and Siding to do the work us and they did the following: 1. All new GAF Timberline HDZ Lifetime shingles and steel metal shingles were installed. 2. Added new aluminum coverings over existing fascia boards. Added new gutters and downspouts. 3. Added new L P "SmartSide" wood composite cap on all existing soffitt boards. 4. All vertical siding panels were covered and/or replaced with James Hardie paneling board and batten. Some gables were of cedar shake appearance. 5. We got our roof done in 2019 by another company and when I had problems this winter (2026) I called both the original company to take a look and Performance for a second opinion. Performance Roofing and Siding was the clear winner. I spoke with Ashley who professionally explained what to expect and kept in contact with me throughout the project from start to finish. Trevor came out to inspect the roof and took pictures and explained his proposal on adding more venting to my roof in a way that was easy for me to understand. Performance Roofing & Siding was the only company that we had out that was willing to repair our roof leak rather than try to sell us a new roof. The leak was difficult to find but Trevor did an excellent job of finding and repairing it. He even followed up with us after a hard rain to make sure the leak was repaired. We will definitely use Performance again when the time comes. We highly recommend this company.

I contacted Performance Roofing and Siding for some siding repairs and I'm extremely happy that I did. Their estimate, which Joel provided in a very quick manner, came in significantly under their competitors. Special thanks go out to Joe and Trevor, who - despite the job being more involved than anticipated - worked diligently and professionally to finish the project, braving the elements (wind, rain, cold and snow) to finish the job. I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out, as the siding they replaced looks beautiful and matches the rest of the house in both style and color.
