Nightmare experience. Should have read the 1-star reviews here beforehand. Heating oil ran out at my in-laws on a Saturday. Called Petro on Sunday AM as they were the only 24/7 service around here. Felt good, sales rep was efficient and I was told technician would come by between 3PM-6PM. Rep assured me that SOMEONE WOULD CALL 30 MIN PRIOR TO ARRIVING. I took him at his word and had my in-laws come over our place (10 min away) since they were freezing at home. Oh -- crazy thing, our mom & pop provider who is closed on the weekends heard our voicemail and offered to come by on Sunday but we said we already had an appointment with Petro so all good, don't worry. Remember this: my in-laws could've gotten heating oil on Sunday morning!!!!! In-laws come over our place, we wait. 6PM comes and

I am a new customer of Petro' Poughkeepsie and so far I have been very happy with them. They have been super responsive, their technicians have been knowledgeable and very friendly and someone has always answered their 24/7 line. I needed things done over the holiday season and they always got me on the schedule - including an emergency oil top up on a Sunday night. Even when they have a busy schedule, you can call and find out where you are in the dispatch queue.

Awful, untrustworthy customer service! I had a burner tune-up scheduled for 8am-12pm today. Because of their history of unreliability, I called at 10:45am to see when the tech was coming. I was told the appointment had been cancelled. What really was upsetting is that I took the morning off and no one called or texted me to inform me. 7/24/365 is a joke. They're really Time Warner in disguise. I've moved onto a reliable company.

No call/text – no show – total internal disconnect. I am beyond frustrated with this company's complete lack of coordination. After receiving a new fryer in the mail, I decided to reach out to them for oil delivery services thinking it would be a good start. The sales team was persuasive, even throwing in some credit for future services. They attempted a delivery but couldn't complete it because there was no vent whistle on the tank. They promised to come by, inspect, and give me a quote - emphasizing that the quote wouldn't cost me anything. We set up an inspection for Sunday between 8am and 12pm. By 11:45, no one had shown up, so I called. The operator said they were too busy and now rescheduled my appointment for between 4pm and 8pm. So, I went back home and waited until 7:50pm. Stil

Tried to set up an automatic delivery w/ Depew and was told they had to inspect the tank first. They sent someone out who couldn’t fully access the tank and I was told I need to set up another inspector. So I called in and did that, waited at home all day w/ the baby and got no call, notification or visit. Basically ghosted. Then I called at 5pm and they were closed. Called back the next morning and was told I wasn’t on their schedule which I very clearly set up for yesterday and confirmed that with the man I spoke with. So I’m here now leaving this review unfortunately, of my experience w/ Depew. Moving onto the next heating company.
