Pick Up the Pieces

Planning to get another item restored with this amazing artistic restoration business. I’ve been using their services now for at least the past 20 years and have always been pleased. And yes, it is a little pricey, but as an artist myself, I am very clear that the time and craftsmanship and skills needed to restore is hard work. So you get what you pay for and in this case no matter how pricey it is you’re definitely going to be pleased with their work. But like everything in life, nothing is guaranteed or perfect and yes, you may have an item that they aren’t able to fix, and if so, at least they are upfront and clear about what they can or cannot do…and limitations.

Great experience so far. Waiting to see finished product. The finished product blew my mind!! Their craftsman worked magic. They were able to piece together a family heirloom. Now, only I can tell there was damage. Everyone else cannot see where the fix was on the piece . Highly recommend PUTP’s !!

Exceptional work! My Waterford champagne wine glass had a slight crack and they were able to fix it in a timely matter! They actually fixed it sooner than expected!! Fantastic job!!! I would highly recommend them!!!

The man at the shop refused to interact with my bilingual husband because "I can't understand his accent." He refused to even look at our item until he spoke to me to see if he "could understand my accent better." I literally do not know how to even process this information. My husband has lived in the US for decades and is fully bilingual. My heart hurts that we still live in a world like this. Even in Southern California. I don't care how beautiful his work is, I don't want him to have a dime of my money.

I've been a customer of this company for about 20 years now. I have heirlooms that have broken or cracked, and I'm so devoted to them, I can't bear to part with them. Although some of these repairs can get pricy, depending on the complexity of the task, Pick Up the Pieces has artists and craftspeople that are basically magicians. And I'm demanding. The color of the glaze has to be absolutely right. Oh and did I mention that this is a night light and there can be no visible brush strokes? No problem. The nightlight looks just like it did 50 years ago when I first gazed into it as a child. These people are amazing.
