Pittsburgh French Drains and Excavating

Cory and Ty did an excellent job of installing the drain system in a shared side yard to take the water from my roof gutter downspouts and backyard into a dry well in the front yard to get it away from the house foundation. He also installed a drain for my next-door neighbor at the same time to take the water from his roof gutter downspouts into a separate dry well in his front yard. They were friendly and responsive to my questions about how all of this would function. I will ask him back to repair my driveway drain in the Spring. I am happy to serve as a reference for their work.

If you’re getting outdoor French drains, I highly recommend Pittsburgh French Drains. For every phase, from estimation through completion of the project just an awesome person to deal with. They also did a couple “extra“ things that weren’t in the contract. that that I very much appreciated. Without getting into specifics it’s just nice having a contractor who’s patient and is not in a hurry to get a job done, but to get the job done right. Some of the job required them to dig using shovel instead of the ditch witch. In short, they’re not afraid of hard work.

One of the best experiences I've had with any contractors. Cory and Ty are true professionals, and you can tell they take pride in their work. They care about the small details, and are precise and clean with their install. I have an irrigation system with pipes and sprinker heads all over the yard where they worked. All the other companies I talked to planned on using a ditch witch for the entire project and leaving me to front the bill to reexcavate/repair any damage to the pipes. Cory and Ty instead hand dug much of the area to avoid this issue. As part of the contract, if they had damaged any pipes (which they didn't), they would have repaired them on the spot. We had some very strong days of rain back in summer, and today, loads of snow. No leaks. My basement is dry! Please if you have a leaking problem in basement, invest on a French Drain. 10/10 Oustanding experience! Then entire process from beginning to end was painless. I received a quote within a day of contacting Pittsburgh French Drains, accepted the bid a few days later, and the work was completed approximately 1 month after that. They installed 85 feet of french drain, and the yard looked better after than when they began. Cory is professional, courteous, and efficient. I will definitely hire this company again, and without reservation.
