**Update: Plekkenpol came back in February and March 2025 and fixed the issues, which we so appreciate. We did not have the best experience unfortunately. We do have a beautiful bathroom now, but the process was rough and they had to come out 2 more times within the year of finishing because things weren’t done properly the first time. The designer we used went on maternity leave 1/3 way into the project, but they should have had another designer fill in for her to help out on the project and come out to see the finished product. The original designer also never came back to see the finished product, which was surprising to us. We ended shopping for way more than we thought we would have to and thought we paid the designer to do most of that for us - guess not. It took the painter 6 days t

We worked with Plekkenpol Builders on 3 projects with our home. The biggest was a partial remodel of 3 bathrooms and involved a lot of decisions about what we wanted for the spaces. Our two project managers, Emily and Reno, were wonderful at helping us problem solve, describing what they could do to make the space more usable, helping with design decisions about finishes, colors, lighting, and cabinetry options. I was so pleased when it was done. Working with a talented designer and project manager made the process go so smoothly. In all 3 projects I have to say that the "attention to detail" is really important and the quality of the work was the best. I highly recommend Plekkenpol for any home remodeling projects. Plekkenpol recently completed a bathroom project for our home, and they did a fantastic job from start to finish! All the highly experienced employees and subcontractors clearly take pride in their work; they are real craftsmen/women who really wanted us to be happy with the results. And we are thrilled! I couldn't be happier that we chose Plekkenpol Builders Inc. for our Insurance claim repair of our basement family room and laundry room, after a water leak in the ceiling. I worked mostly with Emily Blonigen, Bryan Smith, and Paul (our sheet rock installer and painter) but everyone at Plekkenpol including the construction staff, were all professional, kind, responsive, and timely. Over the past 20 years we have used Plekkenpol on at least four projects on our 1941 house: bathroom addition, chimney rebuild/new gutters and fascia boards, screen rebuild and most recently a kitchen update. We keep on returning to Plekkenpol because the quality of their work is excellent, the employees and contractors are courteous and professional, and Plekkenpol coordinates all work so it is done timely and to minimize household disruption. Plekkenpol also impresses me with their thoughtfulness and resourcefulness in dealing with the nuances and charm of an older home. Thank you Plekkenpol!
